  • Client agrees at time of booking to pay 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% of the Rental Fee is due 7 days prior to the Rental Period, along with full payment for any Additional Rentals. If the Booking Date is less than 7 days prior to the start of the Rental Period, then the full Rental Fee becomes nonrefundable and the Client agrees to pay the Rental Fee and Additional Rentals on or before the Booking Date.

  • There are approximately 30 on-site parking spaces, with the ability to add up to 40 as needed from adjacent lot during the following times:

    Weekdays after 5 pm

    Saturday after 1 pm

    Sunday - all day

  • Pets are allowed only on a per-request basis.

  • Smoking is allowed outside only, at least 15 feet from building entrances. Failure to deposit butts in designated receptacles will incur additional fees.

  • CapMetro Bus and MetroRail access is extremely convenient as well, with Crestview Station just a five-minute walk away, and the 300 bus stopping right out front.

  • The Standard Package (includes Great Hall, Courtyard, Shed Bar) is available Friday, 6 pm - midnight; and weekends, 8 am - midnight.

    The Cantina Bar is available weekdays 6 pm - midnight; and weekends 8 am - midnight.

    The Portrait Studio is available weekdays 8 am - midnight and on weekends as an add-on space.

  • The Great Hall, Cantina, and both Photo Studios are climate-controlled. The Shed Bar includes only a wood stove.

food and beverage

  • Outside catering is welcome. There is no charge to bring in an outside catering vendor, but we do require that they are licensed and insured.

  • Outside alcohol is allowed (as long as it is not being sold, meaning no cash bar). Guests are responsible for all food, beverage, and health permits, as well as all licenses and permits, and to adhere to all laws, ordinances, and TABC rules related to serving and selling alcohol.

Setup, Loading & Cleaning

  • Guests are responsible for cleaning/emptying the trash during and after the rental period. We highly recommend hiring a service to handle these tasks for larger events. If the on-site coordinator has to clean up/empty trash during or after the event, you will be charged $300 IN ADDITION to the agreed cleaning fee.

  • No glitter, confetti, or feathers (i.e. feather boas) allowed on site, sorry.

  • Set-up and breakdown of all rented materials such as tables and chairs is the responsibility of Client and/or the rental company.

    All rental equipment must be removed no later than one (1) hour after the event ends, unless prior arrangements have been made.

  • Have at it, keeping a few rules in mind… No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items may be used on our walls without explicit permission. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed, and any wall damage will be billed back to Client. All electrical cords and equipment must be installed as not to present a hazard for guests or staff. Any candles with live flame must be globed.

Networking, Audio, Video

  • Yes, we have guest wi-fi that is usable by our clients and their guests.

Insurance

  • St John Studios requires a Certificate of Insurance for comprehensive general liability insurance with respect to the use of the premises with $1,000,000 combined single limit coverage of bodily injury, property damage or both. This usually costs around $130. We have instructions in our rental agreement as well as options of several companies our guests have used in the past.

Electrical and Mechanical
